About Lazy Bayou
Founded by a programmer working in the casino gaming industry in Tunica County, Mississippi, Lazy Bayou is located in the small town of Walls, Mississippi just outside and south of Memphis, Tennessee on historic US Highway 61, the "Blues Highway."
From Memphis to Vicksburg, Highway 61 serves as the main artery through the fabled Mississippi Delta, a vast agricultural region that gave rise to many legendary blues singers (B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters to name a few). During the 1920s, the highway became a lifeline for thousands of southern black people as they headed north in search of jobs and better lives. As they left the cotton plantations and made the trek north, they took their music along with them – the "blues."
Since 1994 we have been specializing in software for home and business featuring ease of use, straightforward data entry and a reasonable price. Walls, Mississippi is so small we don't even have a stop light and we like it that way. It's always quite and peaceful on a lazy bayou.
